Cara mengajar Text Procedure untuk melatih kemampuan menulis (writing skills). Langkah mengajarnya adalah sebagai berikut:

1. Warmer untuk membuat siswa tertarik mengikuti pelajaran. Misalnya quiz tebak nama makanan dengan guru menyebut inisialnya. Siswa menebak nama makanan tersebut. Bisa juga menyusun puzzle makanan.
2. Tunjukkan gambar makanan dan siswa mengidentifikasi nama makanan tersebut. Kemudian mengidentifikasi bahan-bahan pembuatnya. Setelah itu mengidentifikasi langkah membuatnya. Semua kegiatan dilakukan berkelompok.
